SMS Ticket

We created the SMS Ticket application as one of the very first Czech applications for Android. It is one of the most popular and downloaded applications in the Czech Republic (we restricted it to Czech SIM cards on the Android Market because it only works in the networks of local operators) and we were also among the finalists of the Creative Communication Award 2009 with it.

We took great care particularly to make sure that use of the application is very fast and simple. The application works with the user’s location, so it knows in which city the user is. Based on this, the application sends the corresponding SMS Ticket. It stores it in a list and also monitors the ticket’s validity and alerts the user on time.

What the SMS Ticket application can do

• Extremely fast and simple purchases of SMS Tickets: you buy the ticket in two clicks.
• Sending and receiving of SMS Tickets in all Czech cities that make it possible to use SMS to pay for travel fares.
• List of valid as well as expired tickets, history of purchased tickets.
• The app is interconnected with the Czech public transport journey planner Pubtran.

We created an application that has become very popular among users because it is very practical and also perfectly functional. On one of the first applications we demonstrated that we really know what we’re doing with Android. Later, we also tested work on the Samsung Bada system on this application.
