We agreed with colleagues from ČVUT that we would prepare two presentations. Both took place as a part of an Internet application development course and, of course, both were closely related to this topic.

Pavel prepared a talk about the Android platform. He showed students how to begin developing for smartphones, which tools to use for it, as well as what surprises they can expect in this new field.

Michal talked about the Google AppEngine. In an overview presentation, he introduced the basic principles of the platform, showed when it is suitable to use it and on a practical example demonstrated that developing a scalable Internet application does not have to be complicated.
